On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bidu Chandan Trust for Tribal Self-Empowerment organized a vibrant and inspiring community gathering at Palasbani, bringing together women and young girls from nearby villages.
The event was a celebration of strength, resilience, and collective progress. Women dressed in traditional attire came together not just to celebrate, but to share their journeys, challenges, and aspirations. The presence of young girls alongside experienced women symbolized a powerful bridge between generations—one rooted in tradition, yet moving towards empowerment and self-reliance.
A Space for Voices and Visibility
The program created a platform where women could openly express themselves, discuss important issues, and learn from one another. Conversations around education, self-help groups, livelihood opportunities, and social awareness formed the heart of the gathering.
For many participants, this was more than just an event—it was a moment of recognition. A recognition of their efforts in families, communities, and society.
Empowerment Through Unity
What stood out most was the spirit of unity. Women supporting women, sharing smiles, stories, and strength. The gathering reflected the true essence of empowerment—not as an individual journey, but as a collective movement.
The participation of children added warmth and hope to the event, reminding everyone that empowering women today directly shapes a better tomorrow for the next generation.
Our Commitment
At Bidu Chandan Trust, we believe that real change begins at the grassroots. Through such initiatives, we aim to:
- Promote women’s leadership and participation
- Encourage education and awareness

This celebration was a small but meaningful step towards building a society where every woman feels confident, valued, and empowered.
